1. Home Plug AV Compatibility Notice:. Plaster Networks PLN3 adapters are compatible with any HomePlug AV adapter that is running firmware version 2.0 or later. HomePlug adapters using version 1.4 firmware are not HomePlug-AV standard compliant and are therefore incompatible with PLN3 adapters. If you have an older HomePlug powerline adapter, please check with the manufacture for firmware version and upgrades. In many cases, you can upgrade the firmware to a level that is HomePlug AV compatible. Additionally, Plaster Networks PLN3 adapters can coexist with HomePlug Turbo and Panasonic/HD-PLC adapters but cannot communicate with them. Plaster Networks PLN3 adapters should not be used on the same powerline as DS2/UPA adapters.

Below is a list of HomePlug-AV adapters and the firmware versions they were shipped with that are not compatible with firmware version 2.0 and later:

2. Using a Non-PLN3 as a Gateway Node: In a network consisting of PLN3 and non PLN3 adapters, the gateway node must be a PLN3 unit in order to take advantage of the features of Plaster Networks Service.


3. Zone Alarm Setting Needed for PLN3 Web Page Access: If using the Zone Alarm firewall, please use the "internet" zone setting rather than the "trusted" zone setting if you wish to be able to access the PLN3's web page. The "trusted" setting blocks NetBIOS naming which is required to in order to access the PLN3's web page.
